Application
Immunoprecipitation Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot immunoprecipitated Green Fluorescent Protein in GFP spiked into a HeLa cell lysate.Immunofluorescence Analysis: A 1:250 dilution from a representative lot detected Green Fluorescent Protein in hGFAP-GFP transgenic mouse brain tissue sections.Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected Green Fluorescent Protein in membranes of HEK 293T cells transfected with GFP.Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user.

Specificity
Clone 4I10 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Green fluorescent protein (GFP) from Aequorea victoria (Jelly Fish).
Storage and Stability
Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
Target description
Green fluorescent protein (UniProt: P42212; also known as GFP) is encoded by the GFP gene in Aequorea victoria (Jelly Fish). GFP is a 27 kDa protein from jellyfish that serves as an energy-transfer acceptor. It transduces the blue chemiluminescence of the protein aequorin into green fluorescent light by energy transfer and it fluoresces in vivo upon receiving energy from the Ca2+-activated photoprotein aequorin. GFP has an absorption max at 395 nm and the emission peaks at 507 to 510 nm. However, the exact value of emission max depends on the environment of the chromophore. GFP is an important tool in cell biology research that displays stability under fixation conditions and is suitable for a variety of applications, such as tracing cell lineage tracer, reporter of gene expression, or exploring protein-protein interactions. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.
